Write for us
We welcome pitches that notice a particular part of cricket’s life beyond the score and make it worth a reader’s attention. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What we welcome
Pitch focused, evergreen pieces about cricket grounds, seasons, customs, local play or matchday. A strong idea might explain one overlooked detail, compare two distinct experiences, trace a custom’s background, question a familiar assumption or help readers plan an occasion without relying on local rules or specialist intervention.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working idea, the central question, why it matters to a general reader and what makes your approach distinct. Include a brief outline and any relevant experience or sources you expect to draw on. Please flag uncertainties and avoid claims that would require statistics or testing to make the piece useful.
Before sending
We value clear, specific proposals over a finished article sent without context. Do not include confidential information or assume a pitch has been accepted until we have agreed on it. Use the Contact page and select the editorial option.
